Beyond comprehension

The duster looks amazing, there's no getting around that. Im super excited to see how the leather wears in over the years.
Its extremely comfortable and warm, and once the weather goes down I'll be finding a myriad of ways to style the jacket into my every day wear.
Everyone I've shown it too has been blown away and a little jealous.

I think Viggo would wear it

My expectations were high. In 1983 I bought a very nice leather jacket (in Galveston!) at the end of winter for half off which was $98. I have worn it many days each winter (I live north of Dallas) and continue to, forty years later.
Apprehensive, I ordered the $1,000 coat.
The color could not be better. Understated, not a harsh forest green, but a slate grey with a strong hint of green. Neutral in hue, for all “seasons” of skin/hair tone. And I love the idea that the color permeates the leather. Patterns will grow. I have two large cats that jump and sit on my shoulders.
When I try it on, it is too warm within seconds, as it should be, as we are still having 95F days. It will be much needed in 6-8 weeks. Northens are surprised by how uncomfortably cold the winters are here. The coat is quite heavy (7 pounds?) the layers of leather, wool (quite thick,) and synthetic will be perfect. Though cut to fit many, it seems just right. I hope it meets my expectations as an elegant, functional, working piece of clothing.
The style, to my biased eye, seems right for a Friday night post-goth or grunge concert, as well as getting to a serious business lunch, or Sunday at church.
The only tiny missing piece, and this may go against tradition, is some form of belt or sash to help hold it closed in a 40 mph norther.
I am eager to find that the duster meets the various challenges of cold weather, in a wide variety of social settings, and is not just a well made ornament in the closet.

It's absolutely stunning. The photos do not do it justice. Im excited for cold weather so I can enjoy it! It smells like a saddle shop, and the quality is exceptional. I cannot express how pleased I was when I opened it.

Im 5'7" 130lbs and ordered a small. Fits perfect! Definitely take good measurements before you order. I measured right in the small size, and it's true to measurements.

Fantastic quality, you can feel the weight of the leather. The inside is velvety soft with a nice patern. The little leather detailing also looms amazing. It even came with a nice bag and a quality wooden hanger.
